How long to dry epoxy??
Can anyone tell me how long it takes epoxy to dry on the garage floor when you have it done? Thanks
|
This will seem really ignorant but why do you epoxy a driveway.
|
We are having ours done on Monday. I am not there of course. I think he said it takes a few days.

You empoxy the garage, not the driveway

If I remember correctly, we could walk on it within a few hours, but couldn't park the carts or car in there for 72 hours.

I have no idea why I read that incorrectly. Thanks. The garage, not the driveway. ha.

Thanks everyone. Trying to time everything out when we move.

I epoxied my garage floor in January using the Rustoleum product. If I remember correctly you should wait 3 days before bringing a vehicle in. Some friends of ours did theirs and brought their car in earlier as they felt it was dry- Big Mistake! They have markings on the floor from the car tires. Don't rush it! I think I waited longer than the recommended time just to be on the safe side after hearing of their experience. Good Luck!

I might add, as a precaution....DO NOT drive a Vehicle with HOT tires directly into the garage for at least 7 days. Wait an hour or so, ESPECIALLY if you were going 45mph plus and ambient is over 72 F. If you just got off the Interstate ... leave outside for 1/2 hour until 30 plus days have passed. Of course, High Relative HUMIDITY slows the drying rate, also. Been there........ |
