Peyton Manning to Denver Broncos.

What happens with Tim Tebow then if Peyton Manning becomes the go to quarterback for the Broncos?

Speculation a while back was maybe Jax.

Denver is taking a big chance on a 36-year old QB recovering from a neck injury, IMO. He will be 41 when the contract is up.

Tebow won a bunch of games and got them to a 8-8 record and into the playoffs, where anything can happen. Not fair to Tebow for Denver to give up on him, after not even one full season as QB. Tough situation........

I understand that Quinn already bolted so getting rid of Tebow would leave them with no backup.

Elway and Fox might not come out too good on this one if Peyton cannot perform.

What makes the Broncos think they know more about Manning than the Colts?

I don't know. From what I read Manning's physician cleared him but the Colts medical team would not until they saw him in action but that never happened before they released him. I think that was to get out of the contract.

Chuck: I'm thinking that both teams are equally aware of his condition and his ability to play. I'm guessing the difference is contract $, as Z alluded. Indy was locked into $28mil; Denver can structure a contract with "just in case" outs.

More guessing: if Indy wasnt locked into that mega $$ amount contract, they would have kept Manning, could draft Luck next month, then start the season with Manning as a player/mentor. But that was not to be.

Like you all, I'm reading that Tebow will be traded; front-running teams there are J'bille and Miami. I am a Tebow fan...just wish that his throwing accuracy was a little closer to his leadership skills and other intangible qualities,

It seems that Denver can structure Manning's contract to protect themselves but will have little backup in case Manning breaks down again.

My take is that Elway is jealous of the fan adulation that Tebow has and wants him gone.
