Ohhh, Boo Hoo, big bad FOX News is airing stories which may reflect badly on the President; and they're the only important TV News Network doing this......ooohhh, boo hoo.....make them stop.

If I didn't respect this President before, this isn't helping that to change.

The president has himself to blame.

There we go again. Obama has this very bad habit of blaming others. He also seems to conviently forget that the liberal media has given him cover for many egregious and unpopular policies and partisan attacks. Apparently Obama "can't handle the truth" and so Obama defaults to his dichotomy that you are either "for" or "against" and since FOX chooses to be fair and balance, meaning factual well then Fox has the problem

He has only to blame himself. And I am not yet buying into his campaign rhertoric that he has the women vote. I say that because Obama has repeatedly shown himself, as he has done here with this subject matter, to be a poor leader and weak and those are not exactly flattering to the opposite sex. I am sorry but I rarely see Fox News being "fair and balanced" about anything but maybe the weather and perhaps sports.

And MSNBC ?

Taltarzac725: In all due respect and with the risk of appearing argumentative given the manner and depth upon which the liberal media fawns over Obama I can see why someone would view Fox in such a manner. No matter what the TV or radio station there were always be a journalist or two favoring his/her pesonal bias but oveall I truly believe that Fox does a good job of being factual. I opine others can decide.

Fox News and MSNBC are kind of two coins of the political rhetoric coin. Neither seems fair nor balanced.

Anyone who considers Fox news mostly "fair and balanced", does so because they play to their right leaning bias, just as anyone who considers MSNBC mostly "fair and balanced" does so because they play to their left leaning bias. Both networks have a few commentators on the "other" end of the spectrum, but for the most part they play their roles pretty consistently. I consider CNN to be the most unbiased network for news, but I am sure to be corrected by those who disagree.

But you never mention, nor does anyone else, unless someone brings it up !! Wonder what that says ?

In my view it means pro-growth policies, lower personal taxes, elimination of the estate tax, reduction in government regulations, reduction in spending, elimination of the Departments of Energy and Education, the EPA The Small Business Administration...or at least a revamping of that Agency, elimination or a revamping of the Federal Reserve, stopping the abuses perpetuated by Eric Holder who continues to use the Department of Justice to settle personal and racial related scores . A creation of right to work laws in every state. A requirement for a photo ID in order to vote.....continuing viewing American as exceptional, a stronger foreign policy, resurrecting the missle defense shield, a strong military, abiding by the US Constitution. If that is right leaning bias...I plead guilty. Fox can't help it that Obama and his Administration stand for just the opposite and so we find again people shooting the messenger.

Perhaps I am missing something because I only want to support those media agency that can deliver within journalistic certainty fair and factual information.

I have watched both fox news and msnbc, and it is my belief, and the consesus of most everyone else I have heard speak on the subject, that each network has a bias, fox right, msnbc left. I believe in some of the things you believe in but not all, and your views reflect a right leaning bias IMO. That is not a bad or wrong thing, just is what it is. I think from a journalistic, unbiased point of view that CNN has the edge, but that is simply my opinion.

Well said EWEISSENBACH, although I do feel that CNN has an agenda.

However, in my opinion, this thread points out the need in todays age to have a number of sources for news. The bias on cable is terrible...the bias in newspapers is a bit more subtle and the bias on the internet is absolutely through the roof, thus for us who would like to have facts it means a lot of work and research to get the truth.

Most people, it seems, visit only the cable channels and website that make them feel good about what they want to feel if that makes any sense.

I think the media, in general, is part and parcel the problem with the polarization and bias in this country. In all fairness it is really difficult to be able to wade through everything and come up with all the facts. You really have to read and LISTEN to get to the truth. This forum used to be a source of great information because folks would do some investigation, post links on what they have read or reference folks that should be read and you could actually learn something. I said USED TO BE !!

It seems to me that CNN has no general agenda or bias. I am sure some of the individual commentators have their personal biases that from time to time creep into their analysis, and their political panels are definitely made up of partisans, but on the whole I think their analysis and particularly their reporting, are very balanced. I think the same can be said of most of the network news shows on the whole - journalists out to get a story and let the chips fall where they may. Just my opinion and I am SURE there are many who will disagree. As for posting of links, it is true that one can learn by reading well researched and balanced articles, however many many links I see posted are from blogs that are overwhelmingly biased and poorly researched. To me, and maybe only to me, this type forum is best used to post opinions and provable facts to argue positions. I don't for a moment think that I am likely to sway anyone from their fervent beliefs, but try to bring up things that may make someone go hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Not sure I agree with you on the network shows. AND to me, the media, in general, is lacking totally in how they report and ESPECIALLY in WHAT they report. I will stay away from specifics so that it remains a bit neutral on here and not open to the various jabs that invariably come from leaning one way or another. I will also add that investigative reporting is now used as a political tool for the most part instead of being unbiased. All in all, I am very very disappointed in our media and I think it gets worse each week that goes by.

You are correct, or at least I agree with you, on using this kind of forum. What takes over and has here...is the politics of ridicule of individual people. I am not going to sway anyone but love to swap opinions and provide some of the links that swayed me, and especially read links that swayed others thinkings. Fact is, that most on here do not even use links to validate what they say.
