Returning Vet Annual Fund Raiser???
 

Is there currently an annual event in The Villages that raises funds to support our returning Vets? If so, when is it and who do I contact?

If there is not, I'm interested in forming a committee to set such an event in motion. I have, I believe, a great concept and it certainly is a most worthy cause for all of us to consider.

The organization you are thinking of is called USA Cares and I am a member of this group. We are currently planning our fundraisers with one possibly in April and one definitely in October. I will post here when plans are finalized.

If you'd be interested in joining us, please private message me or check the Rec News. We meet on the second Friday of each month at Laurel Manor at 9 am. We need volunteers who are interested in being active.
