Children Living with Parents

Does anyone know if there is a club in The Villages for children living with there parents. I thought I saw one some time ago but cannot find it now.

Doubt it

Don't know for sure but I doubt as there aren't supposed to be children under 19 living here more then 30 days.

I know some retirees who have their adult children living with them but am not aware of any club for them.

Never heard of a club for them but certainly not a bad idea. Seems like the 30-40 YOs hang out at RJ Gators. Not sure about those younger or older.

That would be nice to have a club for us who live with our parents. Would it be like a suppoet group? Or a club for all to meet & greet? Or to go & do things together?? It is not hard to start one up. I started one up a few yrs ago for our street!

My son, who is in his mid 30's has moved down here. He is looking to meet some people his age but its been difficult. I think a club to do all of the above would be great.

Hey, I'll be the first one to make sure the "under 19" rule is enforced. But, the rules state persons over 19 can be permanent residents and they are afforded all the perks that any resident enjoys. Between the economy, taking care of elderly parents, etc there are probably several hundred 20-40 year olds living here (among the 80,000 55+). I could see where they might want to start a club and have social events. Kind of the antithesis of the 4 score and more (80+) club. They could be the 2 and 4 Score club.

I do not see a downside to the community from having adult children living in the community and having activities designed to meet their needs. A plus could be the available of local help that the older generation may require.

Glad to hear...sometimes I wonder living here. Moved here to look after my mother. Not a youngin by any means but closer to the 4 0 than the 5 5 set :)
I've had a lot of shocked reactions when I tell people my age though, guess i look a good 10 years younger (not complaining on that point mind you) but I do get looks when i go to activities etc.

Our son will be coming down this year to help with things. He is the baby at 30 and I have to say I am so proud he is spending his vacation to help out instead of going elsewhere.

Some people have handicapped adult children living here (my cousin for instance). Most of the young people I run into around here are very polite. Coming from the northeast, it was a pleasant surprise.

A good deal of those names are renters, not adult children.

NO restriction on who people rent to!!!!!!

Not always the best choices made when it come in income $$$.
