Mad Men Season 5 Starts Tonight

For those of you who are Mad Men fans, Season 5 starts tonight after 17 months of no new episodes. Season 5 premiere is 2 hours. Season 4 left off in Oct. 1965. Web sites have hinted some female characters will be wearing mini-skirts, so that may be a hint as to what year the new season is starting off in. Looking forward to it!

Love the show! It seems like forever since it was on, I think I should do a refresher course before the season starts back up tonight... LOL

That is one of my favorite shows! I have been watching the reruns on AMC to catch up again, and have the DVR already set to record the series. Thanks for the reminder!

Two more seasons of Mad Men after Season 5

According to a web site I read in the past few days, the creators of Mad Men want to do 2 more seasons after Season 5 to take the series to 1969, then call it a day and end the series. What event would they end the series with -- maybe with Apollo 11's Neal Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin's first men to walk on the moon?

Just speculating -- but an interesting future plot line could be how Sally Draper (Don and Betty's daughter who has had some issues already in the series as a 10 or 11 yr. old) deals with becoming a teenager in the late 1960's -- could become a hippie, maybe she gets into the drug scene or becomes a Vietnam war protestor -- or maybe she's too young for that? Kiernan Shipka is the 12 yr old actress who plays Sally Draper, and she may be one to watch in the future as I think she plays troubled Sally very well. Just some speculating on my part.

Sally Draper at Woodstock. That's gonna be something to see!

I have taped it and will try to get to it sometime this week.

The women of the AMC TV series Mad Men are remixed into The Supremes song “You Keep Me Hangin’ On.” The chorus is cleverly edited from the show, and the rest gives us a glimpse of a woman’s place in the mid-1960s. Mad Men: Set Me Free on Vimeo
