How much did you spend on your ride?
What I see on the streets are golf carts or is it golf cars ranging from basic to 20,000.
I see the ad for the local guy selling new for $5800. But if you customized it out a bit what did it cost. What percent of owners have used lift kits, bigger tires etc. |
A new gas cart with all the bells and whistles costs around 11K.
A decent used gas cart can be purchased for about 3K. The darling, yet small inside for two guys playing golf, old timey carts are around 20K |
I think most people in TV get the basic cart with the necessary extras needed for TV. The extras I am talking about are a roof, headlights and turn signals, windshield, Sunbrella sides and club cover, cooler, sand bottle, sweater basket. Then a few conveniance items like a locking glove box, overhead storage, unique key, pinstriping and name decals, grocery bags, special colors, 10 inch tires and special wheels. A basic cart from the manufacturer is what the golf courses get up north, no headlights, no roof, no sides.....

In 2010 we bought a used 1996 Yamaha Gas in good condition and well equipped for $2,200. It still runs great and doesn't look horrible.
