Downloading and installing Google Chrome

On my desk top with Windows 7 I downloaded and installed successfully GC, and am using it with no issues to date.

I tried to do the same with my HP laptop, also running Windows 7. I was able to download. However after the install was completed an error window comes up stating the installation could not be validated.

I uninstalled and tried again with the same result. I tried via an alternate browser, same result.

Also tried downloading from different web sites.

GC does offer sites or forums to research the issue, which I am not ready to do just yet. I thought I would start with this forum and see what I can learn.

Have you checked to see that all of your Windows Updates are up-to-date on your laptop?

Should you get the error message again, look at the task bar at the bottom of the screen and see if there is something new there or something blinking because it's waiting for a response from you.

I got Chrome up and running on my laptop today. Are you sure you did all the clicks and agreements? Look for an error message.
