When tinfoil hats aren't enough-- Holden Caulfield and The Catcher in the Rye.
How many TOTVers have a copy of The Catcher in the Rye in their library?? Holden Caulfield - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Catcher_in_the_Rye
This book supposedly turns up in a lot in the thinking of various crackpots-- John Hinckley, Jr. and Mark David Chapman, for instance. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_David_Chapman. It also shows up in the Mel Gibson/Julia Roberts movie Conspiracy Theory. Of course, so many people have read this book that the same argument probably could be made of other books that show up in any crackpot's library and thinking like Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. No. I do not have a copy of this book in my own library. Do have Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet though. Probably three or four copies in various books. |
I don't have a copy but I read it about 50 years ago.

Recently watched most of the Thames Romeo and Juliet DVD which seems to have every word of the Shakespeare play in it. Very tough watching this one as the acting is exceptional. |
Catcher in the Rye is on my long list of books to read. One of these days I will get around to it.

Did we ever find out what happens to the ducks in Central Park in the winter?:loco:
