ARB Approval for Driveways and Lighting?
 

Where do we find out what work we need approval for? The build contract is somewhat vague. Or does the vagueness leave you wiggle room? We want to either overlay or paint our driveway and replace the outside light fixtures. Nothing outlandish, just something a bit more comtemporary.

it is vague, you're right. caution says to write the ARB, they do respond quickly (within a week). If it's really nothing much, go ahead and do it.

I know that courtyard villas cannot be painted, only sealed, unless the neighbordhood buys in (that's my understanding from one of the professionals around here). But patio villas or any homes, no problem.
