Predicting the Avengers opening weekend box office take.
 

You can win what are sometimes worthwhile prizes by giving the closest prediction to what certain movies earn in the US during their opening weekends. Some of the prizes, though, have been turkeys. I know because I have won some of these contests.

The contest coming up is for two people who get the closest estimations-- both over and under-- to how much The Avengers will make next weekend. Predictions have to be in by 10:00 PST on May 4, 2012.

I cannot remember anyone ever predicting the exact amount some movie made over a weekend even though someone did come within $40,000 or so.

Only have a few more hours to take a stab at predicting the opening box office take for The Avengers. The contest closes for entries at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

The movie could set records.

The Avengers does seem to be breaking some records this weekend. I was way off with my predictions though this weekend both with my horses in the Kentucky Derby as well as with The Numbers.com contest.
