Antique sewing machine repair
Well Allied loaders in Syracuse could read. They saw the tape the wrap the impossible to grab protected areas. They could read the bold print do not lift here fragile do not pick here.
The we hit The Villages. And Off the truck comes my great grandmothers Singer in three pieces. Guess I forgot some can't read,:swear::swear::rant-rave::rant-rave: So anyone have a contact of a business or person that can replace or weld a bracket. And reinstall parts etc etc. Thanks |
I am so sorry about something that means a lot to you being damaged and so badly..
I gave my old sewing machine from my grandmother to another family member. |
carguys - so sorry for your problem! if it was me and no one here on the boards could help...i'd check the recreation news listing of clubs because there are bunches of crafty sewing clubs in the villages - i'd call the club contact person and ask that question of them!

I have my grandmother's Singer treadle machine that looks like the 1908 Super 66 model and I'd be heartbroken if anything happened to it. After doing an internet search I found this link to a gentleman located just north of Ocala who repairs vintage Singers. If he can't help you he may know someone who can.
The Old Sewing Machine Man services, repairs, reconditions, restores, sells, and collects old and antique sewing machines. His speciality is the Singer Featherweight machines (model 211). He carries a full line of parts for them as well - see the onl |
Thank you all. Will check out the site.
I thought it bad carma to give that machine away. |
I have a sewing machine repair man here in TV. It is Al at 352-751-0369. Maybe he could help.
