Problems in the Villages

That title will probably get some attention:laugh: I have been reading several threads about problems such as underage drinking and driving; young residents; bad driving by seniors; underage people on multi-modal paths; non-residents at the squares, etc. Let me just state my opinion on all those "issues", in one post. All the problems in TV are miniscule compared with the vast majority of the rest of the world! If the things that bother you are really disturbing to you and you cannot live with them, the only choice is to find a truly "gated" community or a senior citizen compound such as John Knox village. Does TV have some problems -- sure, it is not utopia, and never will be. However spend time in almost any other place in the world and tell me that the magnitude of the problems there are less than TV! Sure, there are legitimate concerns, and everyone has the right to express their concerns, but life is too short to dwell on relatively insignificant problems IMHO.

There are always a few that make mountains out of molehills. The rest of us are optimistic.

I agree. Life is too short to dwell on problems. There are two other threads running now on these same issues "Age of Village Residents" and "Villages Man Killed ...." In my humble opinion, enough said!

Life is what we choose to make it, and I, for one, am happy to wake up every morning no matter the challenges before me! As a TV wannabe I look forward to what the community has to offer, and intend to enjoy my newfound retirement! Positive thinking is key!

Next thing you're going to tell me is that there are similar problems at Disney. Oh, really??? Ooops.

I wonder if some come to visit and are amazed at the beauty and tranquility of the place. So they move here and are astounded there are some blemishes.

If you have the time go and read the 130 posts of the Younger Villagers thread.
It is the same think over and over and over.
There a handful of people who post the silliest concerns and most have no way in hell of ever being changed.
