Just Moved Here Two Weeks Ago
 

Came to visit and decided to stay.... I am not a couple so I am finding that to be the only downfall here. Love all the couple friends I have made, who already adore I just don't only want to be the fifth wheel all the time.

Any single people just up to doing things?
I have enjoyed everything I have tried so far. Social a Duval "the races", Texas Hold'em game, Train game at a friends, Sumter Landing music is great, vendors, car show...nice place to walk around, Lesson in Line dancing (need more lessons) shooting pool with friends (need a few lessons) played a dice game at one of the rec centers, church, and a discussion group, O ya and I love riding around on my golfcart, but I never have played golf. I like going places I can take my dog (Mylo - Maltese) he is not crazy about the golfcart yet.

Well I hope I get some threads on this posting.

Have you tried water volleyball? Doesn't matter if you are single or couple since they are random teams. Social at colony cottage at 1:00 today.

Hi and Welcome Home. We moved in on Thursday past and so you are comparatively an old timer. We are Ronnie and Roni ... married... to each other. We are just starting to get out and about and I am leaving again on Wed eve for NY. Ronnie is staying so maybe you can get together? He likes all sports and can play pool a bit. Anyway, nice to meet you. We are looking forward to meeting you.

I know what you are saying. I'm moving to the Villages in about three weeks. While visiting for three weeks last October I noticed that most things are geared toward couples. The first thing that I will do is join the Baby Boomers single club. But your age will probably prevent you from even doing that. You must be one of the youngest Villager in town. :wave:

Have the cutest little Maltese, Marco 6 and a MalMix Lucky 12. It is fun to take them to the dog park in the cart, you won't believe how many little white dogs are here.

Oh you lucky singletons to have recently moved/or are soon to move to TV! Wish I could join you all as a frog tomorrow. I will be in TV for a oh-so-brief 9 days in June!

For the singles clubs/activities -- check out the weekly recreation newspaper -- I believe it comes out on Thursdays. You should be able to pick up a copy at any rec center. :wave:

I am going to be in TV around valentine's day...are there any singles clubs meeting that week or dances...I am Ron from NC and do love to dance. I will be looking at houses for a few days....I spoke with chachacha a year or so ago but have not made the move as yet.....
