Car wash near Buttonwood

After a drive to Gainesville two days ago, my wife's car is covered with love bugs. She is looking for a car wash in the Buttonwood area. We know, Sam's Club has one but our membership ran out and with us ready to return to NY we see no reason to renew it until we return in January. Hopefully, by then, Costco will be in the Brownwood area. But for now... Where is a nearest carwash?

There is one on 301 over in Wildwood!

There is a brand new one on 441 in front of Lowes/Beals. I saw a sign there a couple weeks ago $6.00 maybe it was a special but worth a try.

Tom.... Although maybe not the closest, I highly recommend The Villages Carwash in La Plaza Grande.

Village Car Wash

For about $20, they will vacuum the inside, COMPLETELY remove all love bugs, clean windows inside & out and hand dry. ...and, they clean the wheels and tires.

They do a very nice job....

PS: Good luck with that Costco in Brownwood thing in January.....

Some of Shells here in the Villages have car washs. At least one of them on 466 by Southern Trace has one. It is one of those automated ones as far as I can tell. Not as thorough as the Villages Car Wash. Shell - 3431 Southern Trace - The Villages, FL - Ocala Gas Prices Ocala Map Gas Prices - Find the Lowest Ocala Gas Prices on a Map

We, personally, eliminated 4,256 love bugs when we drove to St. Augustine last week. It sounded like rain on the car. Scary!

Is that 2,128 pairs or 4,256 pair?

Wow! Very good! It was hard to tell, though, once they became part of my glass and grill! I think there was even a single, so my count may be off by one.

Atlantis Car Wash

441 near Lowes

$ 6 to $ 12 depending on the wash with specials on Wed. and coupons for $2 off here and there.

Pretty good wash and very powerful self vacuum.

There is a coin wash in Wildwood.

Didn't you just say the other day that it was 4,254 love bugs? :p

Seriously, we just stopped this morning at one of the two car washes behind the gas stations on the right side of 466 coming from Buena Vista. The second one was out of order and you couldn't tell until you got to the machine where you paid. It would have been nice if they had a cone at the entrance. Backing out was a pain. The first one you'll come upon was working and did a good job. Here's a map of the location:

p.s. $10 for the whole sha-bang! There are also lesser priced options.

I've been looking for a part time job for my wife for extra income in order to keep me engaged in my many hobbies and interests. She balked for some reason at working on one of those crab fishing boats in Alaska, but washing cars could be a possibility????

Hey! Jim Croce worked in the car wash and wrote a hit song about his experiences. But you're not Jim Croce. I sure hope not.
