I am posting this for a friend who no longer has the means to take care of her two special girls and want them to have a better life. Her health is deterorating quickly as well. Sierra and Cheyenne are indoor cats. You can contact Denise by calling (352) 233-9932 to learn more about Sierra and Cheyenne. Let's try to help a fellow Villager in her time of need.
Thank you for taking a look, maybe you will know someone needing a few new best friends.

They are so adorable...and yes we will keep this thread open until they find a new forever home.

Bump.

Can't look at those pictures too long.

We already have a full house. sigh.

They are beautiful. I truly miss having cats, and our dog loves cats. If we didn't have a bird, we'd have a house full of cats and one dog. I hope these sweeties find a home. Keep it going till they do.

I have posted this on our women's club website and emailed the pictures to one of the members with the phone number. Do you know the age of the kitties and are they declawed? That was a question I was asked. They are absolutely beautiful!

Nice looking cats.

Answer to above question

The age of the cats are 6 and no they are not declawed.

duffysmom 05-12-2012 03:11 PM

If someone is concerned about declawing they can ask the owner about the cats' behavior at the present time. Declawing isn't necessary. My cats were never declawed and did not scratch furniture. They are beautiful cats and hopefully they will stay together.

I would not declaw a cat - mine have been well behaved. They have their things they can claw and they know the difference. I guess some people prefer to adopt declawed cats. I would hope that these two will be adopted together - it would be a shame to separate them.

They look like they would make nice pets for anyone! Sorry to hear the owner has to give them up....must be heartbreaking for her. Quite a bargain too...most likely caught up on their shots too.

Please consider keeping their full toes. People don't always understand that declawing a cat is actually removing the last digit of their toe, not removing just a nail. Not only is it painful, often the cat develops behavorial problems from declawing. Using the litter box, is often painful, as they use the tips of their severed toes to cover their waste. Just consider furniture fabric that is non looped, which if they can't hook it, they leave it alone. Add lots of scratching areas for them, and encourage them to use them with nip or reward treats. Most of the time, these procedures keep you and your pet happy, and the cat can be a cat....do what cats do...hunt, scratch, and act goofy!
