Planning our move...and bringing others!
 

Steve and I are sure now that we want to move to TV. We have finally convinced his mom and dad to come with us! They are in their 90's and in good health...and they are bored out of their minds here. I'm not sure what changed dad's mind, he was adament about NOT moving..maybe it was when we told him about all of the guys playing texas hold-em at the club house, he even mentioned that he just might get back into golf :). Just the other day we met friends for dinner, they have a condo in Deerfield Beach. We had been telling them about TV but they insisted that they had all of the same amenities in their complex and tried to talk us into moving there. That night at dinner, the wife asked me about TV and told me that she and her husband are seriously thinking about moving there. I think they will be coming for an LSV in August (Steve and I might come down at the same time and stay at a hotel). Btw..does anyone have an Orchid? Because of mom and dad, we are thinking of the Orchid because of the 4 bedrooms..and having a half bath built off the laundry room. This way the folks have their own bathroom. Has anyone done this? It's either this or possibly a Zinnia because of the three bathrooms...looking for suggestions!

Trish -- that is great news. Maybe you should see if you can get a sales commission from TV if your in-laws and your friends move to TV :).

Sounds exciting, Trish! I bet his mom and dad will love it there...and your friends too!

We are looking at similar situation with my inlaws (both in late 80s). We can't move there as long as they need us, and for couple of years now we have been trying to convince them that we should all load up and move to TV. No luck so far though. One minute MIL is excited and agrees...the next she is totally against the idea of moving anywhere! We even suggested getting them a cottage home so they would not feel like they were losing their independence but that didn't help. :shrug:

Maybe you can design you new house in August. Wouldn't that be great!

Just counting the days....

We had a showing yesterday..the agent said they were definitely interested but wanted to look at a few more places..I'm sure it will happen with the time is right. Tell Dee hi back!
