Cork Flooring

Looking into the possibility of installing cork flooring in our living and dining room open area. The benefits seem to be quite extensive, good wearing, low sound, and not hard on the feet. The prices look like they are comparable to hard wood floors. Could others who have installed this type of floor give your experiences good or bad. Thanks.

I put it down in my kitchen and LOVE it. Clear finish on it is as durable as any high quality "wood" flooring. Nice cushioning feel under foot and increased insulation value. I am doing the remainder of the living space (minus the BR's) soon.

You do need to take care on your selection of color / pattern as some of them can be "busy" and can be overwhelming in a large area.

I bought it and installed it myself ... off course I am one of those "handy" kinda guys. This is were I bought it from: Cork Wall Tiles : Cork Flooring : Floor Tile : Wall Cork Tiles : Amcork.com

How often do you need to put a clear coat on? and how does it respond to the chairs
