Baseball Road Trip

My wife and I are moving to TV in July. Wondering if any of the recreation centers have bus trips to the Tampa Rays baseball games.

AAA organizes about 4 trips a year (usually when the Rays play against Boston or the Yankees) We've done it a few times. The bus leaves from Spanish Springs. My husband and I are actually driving down to see the Rays today (by ourselves.) Go Rays !

Thanks Kathy and Al. We hope to find lots of Villagers who enjoy baseball as much as we do!

my hubby and I love going to see the rays. We just tried to get tickets for the bus trip on July 4th against the Yankees!! all sold out!!! We missed the boat and the tickets were expensive. 98.00 each through AAA

When you go to Tropicana Field the first time, make sure you have plenty of time. The stadium has a lot of things to see. There is a Ted Williams museum with two floors of baseball memorabilia and it's free.

Ballpark is an easy drive of about 1 1/2 hours. We went to a 1:15 weekday game leaving at 11:00 and were home by 6:30 ( caught for a while in afternoon rush hour)

You can get tickets online at Stub Hub up to the day of the game usually at reduced prices and park for $5 to $10 just offsite depending on the game.

A fun day trip. Unless you have problems driving I would skip the bus.
