Thanks skyking for posting a funny. Better than another post about roundabouts, passing in a golf cart, bicycle accidents, running stop signs or any other traffic crap.

Dog Waste Station
I used this dormant thread so as to not start yet another poop thread.
I was just watching Channel 9 news and they had a segment about Lake Lilly where they have a poop problem. To help alleviate the problem they have setup Waste Stations complete with a poop bag dispenser. They also have a stiff fine that can be imposed for violators who fail to pickup. Sorry, no toilet paper roll so they can wipe their little hineys! :D Your thoughts on if similar should be installed at appropriate locations around TV! http://www.zerowasteusa.com/ProdImag...OOR_sentry.jpg |

I'm of two minds about this. People who want to have pets should bear the financial responsibility for them. Provide your own private poop disposal system, whatever it may be, keep your dog off of other people's lawns, pay for your own spay and neutering.
On the other hand, providing poop bags and disposal cans and cheap neutering does help keep public spaces clean, as more irresponsible pet owners might be inclined to pick up after their pets if disposal methods are easily at hand. And more people might have their pets neutered combat overpopulation. So hmmmmmm. I frankly do not see enough errant dog poop in TV to think there is a big problem with people not picking up. Instead of helping to pay for the disposal systems, I'd rather pay for going after the people who don't give a d*** what their pets leave in public. That's my story, and I'm not necessarily sticking to it ;=D |
