Orion (Egyptian Mau cat) needs a forever home...

Orion is an 11 year old Egyptian Mau purebred cat for whom we would like to find a forever home. Now that we've moved to Florida and are closer to relatives, we have found one of them has severe allergies to cat dander.

Orion is extremely sweet and craves attention. He loves to sit on your lap and doze off. He's terribly inquisitive about all the visitors that come by the house. He is in excellent health and has all his shots and we have all his vet records from up north. Orion has lived with another cat that we had (but she passed on about a year ago). We also have a small dog and they love to chase each other around.

If you or anyone you know might be interested, please call Al or Mary at 352-633-1939.

Have not seen a cat like that before. Cute kitty.

Sadly, my kitty wouldn't tolerate another kitty at this time, but your cat seems like he's a wonderful guy. I hope you find him a great home.

PS: I love your Mark Twain quote!

Heartbreaking story. Good luck he looks and sounds like a special cat.

I wish Onion had come along before I acquired the two cats I have.

Sadly, we're in the same boat... no room at the Inn! :(

Is it possible that your family member could see an allergist and get medication for his/her allergic reactions? I would think it's worth a try. After all, that way you could keep your beloved pet. I would hate to see someone have to give up their pet if there's another solution to a problem.

I can't believe Orion is still available!

He told me to thank everyone for their thoughts. But he is keeping busy...supervising me doing some handywork, managing the workmen that stop by the house to fix some minor problems, and especially reminding my wife when it's dinnertime. He has a build-in alarm clock. Between 4:30 and 5pm, he automatically reminds us that it is time to eat. Just one of his charms.

Alarm cat. Good luck with finding him a Villages' home.
