Lab owners

I have a question for Village residents that own Labs. Do they still go through the same shedding seasons as they do in cooler climates? If so, is it as bad as up north?

Labs Shedding

Down here the shedding is continuous, getting worse in the middle of summer, but my English lab shed all the time. She passed away two months ago and I am still finding her hair under chairs and behind closet doors. Now, of course, I am happy to find the hair and just wish she was attached to it!

I am so sorry for your loss. We had 3 Goldens before getting our two Labs that all passed away within 7 months of each other, I feel your pain.

Thank you, she was a beautiful animal, she came from an English Breeder, was a Jaynecourt Lab out of the Sandilands line. Had a pedigree as long as your arm and the only reason we were "allowed" to have her was because she never got her last tooth and could not be used as a breeding female. She was considered "imperfect", to us she was more than perfect. We still "see" and "hear" her everywhere. She gave us 14 1/2 yrs of pure and devoted love.

My two Labs are also English. Our male, Kona, is black and around 95 lbs. Our female, Karli, is yellow and around 65 lbs, but she still sits on my lap every morning like she did when she was a puppy. :o
