Katie Belle's

My wife and I went to KB last night and were treated rudely by our waiter. When my wife asked his name we were soon visited by the manager who said Adrian our waiter did not want to wait on us anymore. He said my wife grabbed his shirt and nearly knocked him down. This is ridiculous! All she did was touch him when he was walking by our table to ask his name. I told the waiter if he had a problem waiting on us I would appreciate him saying it to me. We were not misbehaving or bothering anyone. We were just there to have some fun with our friends and enjoy the music. The manager said she would talk to the waiter about his rude behavior. It's a shame our evening was ruined by someone who doesn't know how to treat customers right. If you hate your job or don't want to wait on people find another career!

Regardless you shouldn't have touched him. That's crossing the line.

I agree no one should touch a waiter..it can be mistaken for something it may not be. You really do not say how "you" were being treated rudely...!!

In that regard the waiter did the right thing by immediately bringing it to the managers attention rather than being or appear to be confrontational with a customer.

I still find it amazing that people in their first posts truly believe TOTV is a"bitching" board in what they believe to be bad service or merchandise.

I know from having had to deal with the public many years in the past for many years, you got to remember that there are always two sides to the story.

Hmmmmm.

Of course, none of us were there and there ARE two sides of the story. I know Adrian from outside his work place and used to wait on him where I used to work and he was always been polite, pleasant and a very quiet, soft spoken person. It doesn't surprise me that he wouldn't want to confront anyone. He's been at Katie Belle's a long time.

can i get a job

where you headed to eat,,,, if your wife wants to touch a waiter,,, I am your man,,,, i will learn to wait tables if she will grab me!
To be honest ,, this is a good kid your trying to cast a bad light on!,, He has waited on us many times... hard worker, pleasant, and VERY clean person (takes a bath everyday, I cannot say that for all workers at KB) well groomed, with clean clothes. NAH you picked the wrong kid to jump straddle of here...
I am sure you will get blasted for being your first post,,, oh well, If he is the only thing you can "chat" about here,, your living the good life we all are... Just ask yourself if a person had touched your wife,, how would you feel... I know if my granddaughter worked at KB and you had touched her,, you would have to deal with grandpa (me)! So you might want to give your sweetie a few hints on how to behave,,,

I agree!!! First of all, you don't just go out there and touch (or grab) a waiter!!?? Secondly, we too had that waiter and is very cordial. Sounds like the whole story wasn't explained correctly. I doubt poster will have a come back!!!!

You definitely DO NOT TOUCH anyone who is serving you, whether a food server or a salesperson. The waiter did the right thing. Your wife should have been more respectful of a waiter who is just trying to make a meager living.
And no I have never been a waiter.

Yup. You said a mouthful. I want to know what exactly ensued before the unpleasantness???

I feel like Judge Judy.

How was the waiter rude?

Did he tell you that your wife wore unattractive combat boots?
Did he say that her decollatage was distracting?
Did he tell you a politically incorrect joke?
Did he sit down in your seat and eat your soup when you went to the john?
Did he tell you that he had a bunch of small children and hoped you tipped 20%?
Did he hover?
Did he disappear from time to time to serve others?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Reminds Me

This reminded me of the time we had guests and took them to Kattie Bells
on a Sunday for a snack. They (about 5-6 young waiters) were breaking up
the Sunday buffet. We watched as they used their towels to wipe up the floor and then use the same towels to wipe the buffet holders. They used the towels to (A) snap at each other, (b) wipe the sweat from their brows,
(c) clean the buffet tables. It was really sad to watch and to know they were going to use the serving buffet hardware and so on. Our guest was
amazed and totally turned off by the disregard for being clean and to know that later someone would be eating from food from the serving hardware.
If they did this in front of everyone what the heck must be going on in the kitchen????:throwtomatoes:

Yes, many first time posters intend to use TOTV as a whipping post. Chill out people. Your retired and live in the greatest place on earth. Yes, nothing is perfect but this is the part of our lives where we should not be so high strung. We made it through all the other stressful BS in our existance. This is the first day of the rest of your life. Enjoy life as a reward for getting this far.
