1967's Bonnie and Clyde.
Movie Review - Bonnie and Clyde - *BONNIE AND CLYDE - NYTimes.com
I kind of agree with this reviewer after reading up on the real Bonnie and Clyde. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/history/...nnie-and-clyde |
He was lambasted for this review at the time, and I think he was right on! It was the era of the "counter hero", so it gave us a movie about two thugs on a robbing an killing spree. Throw in a bunch of really graphic scenes of innocent people getting gunned down and of course the final scene of Bonnie and Clyde being killed, and the final result was a movie that doesn't deserve it's reputation (IMHO).

I still remember the character played by Dub Taylor. He was more upset about his son[Michael J Pollard]getting all those tattoos than he was with him robbing banks and killing people with the Barrow gang.I also liked the scene of them kidnapping the undertaker played by Gene Wilder.
