Savings on mail to Afghanistan
 

If you ship anything to family or friends in the service be sure to look into the post office flat rate boxes (if it fits it ships).
I had two boxes this morning to mail to our Granddaughter in Afghanistan. One large flat rate box and a second one that was exactly the same size in every dimension. The flat rate box $13.45 (usually $15.45 but you get a $2 discount when mailing to the troops). The plain brown box $33.00. Needless to say it took me about 6 minutes to get another flat rate box and repack out of the plain box and had both ship for less than the non flat rate box.
