T&D Pool Service

I have heard from others that their weekly service charge is $20.50
They mailed me a letter that MY fee will be $22.50

Why because my house is a premiere and they think I'll pay more?
I have a basic 15X30 pool with sitting ledge and is 3.5 feet to 5 feet deep.
Others have larger and fancier pools and pay less? Doesn't seem fair.

PLUS they want to charge me to show me how to work the timers so my waterfall and sconces flow water. Seriously?

Yep I'll be calling them on it or getting someone else.

Any suggestions?

I have used T&D for the last 3 summers and the charge has been $22.50. And I have a small pool. If I have any questions I ask the "pool boy" when he is there. I am happy with them.

You do need to find out why there is an additional charge. Might have to do with location, distance traveled to get to your home. If not that, maybe charges have gone up. Years ago when they were maintaining my spa, fee was $14.50/visit.....worth it because we were still in CA.

Give them a call, they will either give you a reason for the extra charge to your satisfaction, reduce the charge or you'll have to start looking for a new mainztenance company. Really don't think it has to do with house model.

Were those that told you $20.00 just rounding it off ? .... as in "well, I pay about $20.00"

Are those same people under contract (or long time customer) at the "$20.00" rate?

T&D seems to pretty much have a lock on the majority of the pool service in TV

We pay $22.50 a month with T&D and their service is excellent! As far as paying for them to show you how all your equipment works, we did not pay for that. We closed last July and right after closing someone from T&D came to our home and showed us how everything works. Our pool is similar to yours and if we have any problems or questions we have our "pool person" and he does it all, he shows up every Thursday.

Bob 45, do you only use them in the summer?

I have a small pool and pay $22.50 per visit.

keithwand 06-10-2012 11:35 AM

Good to know others are paying what they told me in a letter.

$20.50 came from another TOTV individual that just moved in recently so thats where I got the idea they were charging me more and their pool was larger and fancier.
Maybe a typo on their posting on TOTV.

Did T&D install your pool and birdcage or was it by another installer as part of your purchase of your home through TV. That could make a difference if T&D gave a discount on service to those who made a direct purchase of their pool!

We just started the process of T&D installing a pool just slightly smaller than yours as well as the birdcage, but we haven't reach the stage yet of arranging for the weekly service. However, I figure that if we are charged the extra $2 for the service, the extra charge will in affect be covered for nearly 10 years by virtue of the pool discount they are giving us!

Anyway, hope you get either a price reduction or a good explaination for the difference when you talk with them!

Yes, only in the summer when I'm up north.
Hopefully my house in Ohio will sell and I can take care of my pool year round.

Yes, T&D did the install so that is was done with the rest of the house build out.
Probably did cost more but did not want to deal with it after the build and they did a very nice job.

NicknBabs 06-10-2012 06:34 PM

We pay 24.50 /week for a pool and spa. Neighbor pays 14.50 just for a spa.

l2ridehd 06-10-2012 07:27 PM

Mine is $22.50 a week. Someone above said a month for that, that is how rumors get started. I am sure they meant $22.50 a week or visit.

Happy with T&D

We have T&D too and it's 22.50/wk and to us it's well worth it. We had ours built with the house and there was no charge to show us how it worked. We are very happy with their service. Oh, our pool is 16x30.

We love T&D. $24.50 for pool and large hot tub. Good service, nice folks and accurate billing

Some people embellish the numbers. Same people exaggerate their golf scores, too. Can't believe everything you hear. Seems you are getting worked up for nothing. CHILL
