pouring cement
If you wanted to add to the cement outside the lanai area to put a grill on, who would you use? Any idea how much it would cost to double the size of that pad outside the lanai door? If you put a grill outside the lanai against the house, would the smoke discolor the house?

I remember melting the siding behind my grill back up North...be careful how close to the house you grill

I put my grill away from the house on our patio with a grill pad under it

My friends told me to make the pad as large as possible that way its done and you wont have to enlarge it in the future. One friend made his too small at first and then had to add on which wasn't cheap.

Gee Warren, didn't mean to aggravate you but I do thank you for your information. We can close this thread. After the comments, it is clear we will have to go forward with the indoor outdoor kitchen rather than the outdoor outdoor kitchen.

Well in any event the rule thumb is about $4 per sq foot.

Yes measure up the area you want to add the grill to. You can PM me with the info if you want. If you go to lowes or Home Depot to do that job,, you will kill your self trying to mix that much mud up. Give me you measurements,, I can have some call you that will do it for a very reasonable price,, .. |
Decided to do the kitchen in the lanai and not outside. Thanks anyway.

Does one have to submit plans for the concrete addition if one wants to double their initial pad space? We close in july and reading all the Rules leads me to think we have to get it in writing... What have others done for such a venture..
Thanks for all the feedback! Ebsmom~Bev |
Do people use the grill on the driveway or just outback off the lanai?
|
Most likely you have to get ok from ARC... Most expand the Lanai to put grill and all like that on.

live in a patio villa, read in the papers that I can expand my driveway 6 feet to door. does this mean we can move the light post over, and cut back the fence to the next pillar and reinstall the end piece? that way the concrete can go up to the walkway, and get the back of the car off the street?????
