more rain on the way

For you out of towners who are wondering where did the rain go. The last goood rain was june 14 where we got an inch. Now starting this thurs and friday there is a big tropical disturbance swirling around cuba and key west and its into the gulf. End result is a 60 to 70 percent chance of rain for central florida this thurs and fri. The total for the month in santo domingo is still 6 and 3/4 inch. I have to go into the hospital friday for a few days so i wont be able to post a rain report. Go to the weather channel website and you can see the rain.

Will pray everything goes well for you Tom60. We won't be back until mid-July, when we close on our soon-to-be new home. Glad to hear TV got some needed rain. We were down in May and things were starting to brown up a little around the golf courses.

All the best and thanks for the update.

Just curious,

We're moving down in mid-September. I thought we had to notify Medicare et al before we leave Ohio. Is that not the case?

So happy for your move! Can't wait to get there!

Thanks!

Nice to see the "excitement and joy" when people are moving to The Villages. It's like a little kid going to camp, but this is permanent. Welcome and Good Luck new Villagers!!!!!:BigApplause:

I think it would be a good idea to check. I know with Medicare Complete, I have to notify them and then have two months to switch to a plan in Florida. If anything, they need to know of your change in address.

BTW - Good luck Tom and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

It may be that Gatherer is just becoming eligible for Medicare. We plan to change banks, so we will be notifying everyone. Don't know that you are "required" to notify them if you aren't changing banks for your direct deposit. You raise a good question though that will prompt me to do a little checking myself. Thanks. We close next month and hopefully will be moved by mid-September ourselves. It is a lot of work coordinating a move. I hope yours and ours goes smoothly. It is the creating a game plan that keeps changing for us.

Hopefully we can meet soon in "paradise"!! :beer3: :pepper2:

we have the same bank in both states, just one you have to drive to and golf cart to the other:pepper2:

Glad to see the rain in TV

Glad to see the rain on the webcams today. Hopefully the gentleman in Mallory Square is getting a good gentle soaking. Ponds should be full and everything green when we come down to close in three weeks!:pepper2:

Lets hope the storm just give us a good soaking
