Travel to/from Cruise Ports
 

Our cruise ends at Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) on November 15th.

What is the easiest way to get back to The Villages, without having to drive?

Enter Port Everglades as your departure and Orlando as your arrival. They don't seem to come to Lady Lake. It is 55/pp but you would need to have some one pick up in Orlando at the bus depot. For 75/pp they will take you to the airport where you could get the villages transport bus for another 35 dollars. So it is an option, just not a great one. If you are travelling with a bunch of villagers, you can often hire a van to drive you for less than these kind of prices, but you'll need a good sized group to make it work. For instance the same company offers a 14 persons for 468 port to Orlando rate. I'm thinking that with a private transport you probably could pay more and get them to drive all the way here.

You could also look into Amtrak from Ft. Lauderdale. Don't know about luggage handling, however. I've just had a carry on when I've taken the train.
