Recreation Schedule
Is there a recreation schedule available that is done on a daily basis? In other words, I'd like to see all of the recreation activities that are available on Monday or Tuesday etc.
Many days' I have nothing to do and I have to try to look through each of the rec center's activities for that day. |

I think I've seen a list like that online but don't remember exactly where. Maybe start at the main TV website.

I think there might be one in the TV monthly magazine? Or perhaps I am thinking of activities and entertainment schedules...

The day's activities at each center appear each morning in the Daily Sun almost always on page D5.
I'm not sure that solves the doctor's question, though. I think he wants a list of different activites and where they're happening today! Haven't seen one like that. SWR :beer3: |
The only comprehensive one I know about is what's distributed by the Recreation Department in newspaper format every Thursday. It's available online as well:
http://www.thevillagesdailysun.com/a...es/recnews.pdf But like Dr. Boogie stated, you've pretty much gotta go through it rec center by rec center to get a feel for when all the activities occur. If you're looking for when various clubs and groups meet, there's this: http://www.districtgov.org/images/ClubsListing.pdf It seems to be kept up-to-date on a fairly consistent basis. Latest update shows as 05/29. Bill :) |
Hi Dr. Boogie,
It's a good question. The Recreation News, available both in print and online, is complete but not as efficiently presented as it could be. All of the information is repeated so it can be sorted two ways: by Rec. Center (then time) or by activity. Were the online version presented in a spreadsheet or database, the user could sort it by any column (i.e., rec. center, day, time, activity). That would be cool, and probably a more efficient way for staff to maintain the data after initial setup. TV operations are so many wonderful things but just not very tech savvy. |
After all..................we are retired. What's the rush and need to know.
