Terrible Accident

Hubby just got back from running errands. Said there was a terrible 2 car accident at the intersection of Morse and 466A. No details, but both the local and state police were there. As he was gone for 1 1/2 hours, the accident scene was there both leaving and returning from our home. Pray that no one was seriously hurt.

There was an accident there about 3 weeks ago as well. Folks try to run the light, I think AND can't see because of folage and traffic!!

I have to disagree on foliage etc. That intersection is clear. I will say if you're turning...please pull out and position to turn. When you sit back you make it hard to see if anyone is coming in the lane next to you for the driver turning from the opposite direction. But I will say construction vehicles, dump trucks etc are always flying through there and flying on the residential roads too. I've know I've commented about the need to start activily ticketing them. Sometimes thats the only way to make a dent in the activity :( Glad I missed this accident as I was out mid morning running around. The last one I remember the one car ended up in the bushes in the medium on the captiva side. Mom was rather taken aback that everything was replaced by the next morning.

Try harder.

When viewing your post that you want to edit, click "Edit Post", make your changes to the content, then click "Save"......that'll do it!

Bill :)

I've had similar saving edit problems in the past. Sometimes I go to 'go advanced' and it will work but sometimes instead of the 'save' box coming up it reads "vote now"! Don't know how that gets on there. Usually there is a work around but you just have to keep trying. I've been the most successful with the 'go advanced' route. And......you can always add a cutsey icon!

I often have to use the "go advanced" too.

Pickup v. Car? I learned our neighbors got into an accident around this time. Both are pretty much alright but spun them around and car has been in the shop for quite awhile. I'm not sure of the details but guess folks just have to watch it especially with all the construction workers racing around down in this area. I've complained to the sumter sheriffs office a couple of times. They have been out in Sanibel a few times sitting radar trying to slow em down. Whatever good it does.
