Obamacare

In MY opinion we "Medicare" patients should try to get "medical issues" taken care of and try to get into good physical shape BEFORE Obamacare goes into effect!

Obamacare, Thank You... About time.............

If it is repealed, who do you think will pay for all those uninsured people? Who by the way would go back to the ER's for all their health care needs......very costly. THAT would be like a tax increase on the middle class

Is this what it takes for people to take notice and get into good physical shape? I've been getting ready for my old age all of my life! I'm ready for anything that comes along.

For the rest of you: Don't forget to get those cataracts removed, knees replaced, hearing aids, eye glasses, Gallbladder removed, new heart valve, by pass surgery and frontal lobotomy. :icon_wink:

Doing the right thing. Everyone should have health care. Its not about money, its about caring people. Thank You Obama.2nd term looks pretty good.

Today is a big day for America, right up there with passing Social Security and Medicare. We should be very proud of the SCOTUS, POTUS and congress for getting this done. People have been trying to get this done since Franklin Roosevelt was president.

What Am I Missing?

This board is rife with vitriolic objections to the Supreme Court decision and derision for the "tax" that Obamacare will assess on the American people.

But the same people are so agitated about today's decision repeatedly squawked that 50% of the people pay no taxes, and that's just not right...that's wealth redistribution.

OK, the tax for ObamaCare will fall mostly on those who choose not to have health insurance or who can't afford it. That would be mostly those same people who don't pay income taxes. So now a tax will be levied on them to pay for healthcare as the result of ObamaCare. But's that's awful too.

I'm sorry, but I just don't understand.

Why are they agitated VK? Because Limbaugh and Hannity told them they should be.

From what I read in today's newspaper, Limbaugh declared it "nothing more than the largest tax increase in the history of the world". For this he got a 'pants on fire'.

I honestly believe Limbaugh doesn't care. He just sees $ signs when he can incite his followers. :ohdear:

Don't forget all the other taxes in Obamacare. Such as taxes on Dividends, Interestand Capital Gains. Along with sales tax on sale of a house. We get so little Interest and Dividends now and now we will have to pay, I think, 1.3% tax on them, what is left to live on. How can someone sell a house to buy another one when a similiar tax is placed on proceeds of sale of their house, not the profit. There are taxes on durable medical devices. And more. As Pelosi said, "We have to pass the bill to see what is in it".

As for Medicare, it is going broke.

A question for all who so vehemently oppose the AHA. How many of you are uninsured and/or uninsurable due to pre-existing conditions?

Does not apply to me, but with all due respect that is an unfair question because I have not heard many, IF ANY, posters or anyone oppose those two parts of the law, so you are choosing two items that will get you your desired results so that it then will justify this law....THEY ALONE DO NOT.....the law was supposed to be about COSTS, which it does no address....TORT REFORM which it does not address.

Sorry for interrupting but one of those polls where the question leads the respondent only in my opinion.
