Horse feathers!

Interesting turn of phrase. It sounds like Mitt Romney is trying to sell us horse feathers from the article. http://www.chron.com/opinion/outlook...ch-3711241.php

And, if Mitt Romney is elected President it is sure as the dawn will come tomorrow that he will raise taxes on the middle class and poor. How else is he going to handle the national debt?

Guest 07-17-2012 02:38 PM

Krugman is a partisan hack. He's "working" for the Obama reelection campaign. You expect a favorable look at Romney?

You cannot be serious about this. over 70% of all the taxes are paid by those you choose to demean. Krugman and Obama...quite a pair,,,let the class warfare wage on. Tax them but stop with the demeaning of anyone who has money.....all I can think of is jealousy...if we can get those mean bad old rich people to pay in even more, what else might we be able to get from the government...over simplified for sure as is the arguement about the 99% and the 1%. Ever meet any of those who represent that 1% movement ?

Fix the tax code...I am for that and so are all rich people and even those damn rich Republicans, but stop with demeaning anyone who has lots of money. Those are nothing but stupid generalities !

The bigger problem is 47% pay nothing. The top 10% pay over 70% of taxes and earn only a little of 40% of all earnings.

This administration, it appears, has sold you totally. The community organizer dialogue at its best !!! You like to research...research the background of your president and them compare it to his presidency and tell me what you see. A leader ? A unifer ? And yes, as I hope you are doing I am making some generalaties but the truth is there.

I certainly did not expect to be alive for this...american versus american depending on your registration card and bank account.

That Forbes piece is just satirical writing that has very little to do with reality. The national debt is very real. So are Mitt Romney's ideas about the best and brightest of business getting the best deals from the government tax collectors.

I have no idea of why you are ...well, the issue is you are doing the bidding of this campaign an at every turn make it rich versus poor.

You are correct....the national debt is huge and growing and the question is who can lead this country to both parties doing something. The man in the WH has been there for 3 years and it is worse than ever.

The new healthcare law does not come due yet, but it has doubled in price since it was passed unread by our leaders and if you review how it is supposed to be paid on assumptions, those assumptions already look very shaky.

We need leadership and this man has made this country more divided than ever and the promulgation of rich versus poor rhetoric is simply making it worse.

And the point of my link was that you come on here and give us a link from a cronie of the President and give it credence....well, my link showed how much of a crony he is which to me makes any link to him supporting the President very suspect. Try a few other sources....better yet...read about the tactics of our President in Chicago as a young guy...same tactic...same message....rich versus poor

I do not see the cronyism of Paul Krugman. I know that the Forbes writer links Obama with Krugman, but I do not really see that this economist is a huge fan of the Obama Administration.

I usually am concerned about the source of my links...you are not obviously.

He is FAMOUSLY pro Dem and FAMOUSLY anti Rep.

That alone does not make him wrong but it surely has to be considered and he is a "shill" for the administration.

He is a liberal and shamelessly so. I did find a lot of criticisms though aimed by Paul Krugman at every Presidential Administration since Reagan's. http://www.leighbureau.com/speaker.asp?id=100

Was not trying to give you a hard time but folks come on here with links and think they are supplying FACTS and validation. I can take any subject and find a link to support it or dis prove it on the internet. A link is NOT giving facts and even then the post needs to be put into context as most people on here do not even read the link.

I try, not always successful to validate something I read and want to post....people still do not accept it, but I always check who wrote and check on them.....the fact that it is on the internet or in a certain magazine does not make it fact.
