Playing on a closed golf course.
I don't know if there are exceptions but I see people at night on the Bonifay course as well as I am watching right now three women on the course that is supposedly closed for the month. Are there exceptions to the closing?

A friend works for Citizens Bank and told me that they were given the opportunity to play if they'd like. |

The one that runs along Mockingbird and Owl. I think that is Destin.

I am not the golf police. I was just asking if there are exceptions because I have seen people at night and now I saw people in the morning. Perhaps it was explained by the Citizen's citizens having permission.

Bonifay open
People have been playing Bonifay all month with the exception of a few days here and there it was closed for maintenance. Havent seen a cart yet today but it's still early and were are on the eighth tee.

Sweetie says that they have closed one nine to let it rest and opened another nine, the new one. As you know there are three nines; Destin, Fort Walton and Pensacola. Destin is closed...according to my golf breath husband.

Wellll, I am just sayin' I see people in the morning and in the evening on Destin.

The posse will be right over. You wanna join? |
At Bonifay, 'Destin' and 'Ft. Walton' have been open since last October and 'Pensacola' has never opened. As of Monday of this week, 'Pensacola' opened for the first time and 'Destin' is closed, so no one should be on Destin. In 30 days Destin will reopen and Ft. Walton will close for 30 days. At this time of the year with daylight lasting until 8:30, after the starters leave at 7pm you will probably see golfers sneak onto the golf courses.
Look in the sports section of the Sun and about page 3 where they have the wave times they will have all the courses closures listed for the week. You'll see Destin listed as 'closed all day', Pensacola was in there everyday since last October. |
