Election in one month
 

I received in the mail today a "sample" ballot showing the races in which I will be eligible to vote in the election on August 14th. I like to be an informed voter so I am looking for information on the candidates running for county property appraiser, public defender, and county commissioners. I was amazed that a google search didn't turn up webpages for each of the candidates. I'd at least like to know the qualifications, education, background etc. of each. I did find some info on the public defender race in articles in the Ocala and Orlando and Tampa papers.

Please be informative and not "political" so this thread doesn't get kicked over to the political forum.

I can find out very little about the local candidates. This primary is right around the corner and I wish I knew more about everyone running.

How odd. There are so many "in the know" people on this site that discuss politics yet nobody seems interested in this post.
