Sanibel Social Club(s)
 

As a new resident in Sanibel, I'm confused by the social club groups. It seems there are three: Sanibel Central, Sanibel Heights, and Sanibel Social Group. Can someone in Sanibel tell me who's who or what's what about these groups? I'm interested in getting to know my neighbors, but I'm confused by the different groups. Is there any schedule for when they meet? Thanks.

:welcome: We live in Sanibel but currently on summer vacation from the Florida heat. At first I understand there was a newbee group and it became so big that the Rec Center could not accommodate. Sanibel Heights was started-----then the other two Social Clubs. Ask your close neighbors which group they belong to and join in the fun! If you go to the Captiva Rec. Center you can get yourself on the mailing list of the various Clubs. Good Luck and welcome.

We live in Sannibel on Raven Croft Terr. Other streets by us are Beville, Evesborough Path, Glendale. We you come into Sannibel off Pinellas we make a left onto Avondale. We belong to the Sannibel Social Group. I was wondering the same thing which group we belonged to. We just had a social gathering on July 19 at Captiva. The next one is on August 16 but we won't be here for that date.

The Sanibel Social group is for anyone to come to. The Heights is for the units furthest down Pinellas. The Central is for the unit(s) in the middle. The first group 175 really hasn't organized itself into a specific group. The events at captiva or Colony are for anyone who wants to come.

We live near the cul de sac on Evesborough Path. We didn't know there was a social on July 19. I guess we don't check the message board at the mailboxes. Maybe we'll get to the one in August.

I stopped an spoke to some neighbors who were standing outside chatting on Evesborough Path on Monday......we all said we should start a social group for the houses south of Pinellas.....but we need a name and a social director.

so, all you Sanibellians south of Pinellas.... what should we name our group? :welcome:

Hey, all you Sanibel neighbors south of Pinellas and off of Avondale!

How about a group called the Sanibel Sunseekers or Sanibel Shellseekers!

On Sanibel Island one of the big activities is going out on the beach after a storm and picking up shells and it's called the Sanibel Stoop! :1rotfl:

I heard about another village in TV.....one of the larger ones....and they have several social groups, too.

I have a home in Sanibel and plan on attending all of the clubs. Heck they all say Sanibel.

We live on Fenwick Loop which is south of Pinellas, but on the other side of the Sanibel pool, So where do we belong? :-) Most of our neighbors are snowbirds so can't ask them.
