Cruising from Fort Lauderdale

Can anyone suggest a hotel or motel in Fort Lauderdale near the Cruise Terminal where we can stay the night before cruise departure date and leave our car there for the length of our cruise - thanks

We stay at Rodeway Inn 2440 West State Road 84 Ft Lauderdale ...phone 954-792-8181.
Last year when we stayed we ate at the attached sports bar & grille and it was great. We currently have reservations for our upcoming cruise in Dec....hoping that same sports bar is there as it was convienent and a great way to kick off a fun week.

Ft Lauderdale

The Laquinta at 2620 N26th St in Hollywood, 954-922-2295, has free parking with an overnight stay prior to going on a cruise. They also have a free shuttle to the cruise port.

The Hilton Ft Lauderdale Marina. It's right next to the cruise terminal.

Another vote for this hotel.

Used to be a Marriott property and has a water taxi stop right out the door.

Don't stay at the Hyatt. My friend actually left the hotel and stayed at another because it was so dirty. Go to the Tripadvisor website for ratings and choices of different hotels.

Is there a parking charge for cruise passengers?

If you are leaving The Villages for your cruise then I don't understand why the need for a hotel. It is an easy 4 hour drive from The Villages on Florida's Turnpike and parking for approx. $15 per day at the port while on the cruise.

George...it is just the "relax" factor!!!
We used to do just that, but no more. Why?

How about a flat (or any other surprise, unplanned event)? Less than 50-50 chance anything will happen. However it did to us one time....the frantic, panic....are we gonna make it....until we finally got there just ain't worth it anymore.

So now it is leisurly get there the night before....get a bite to eat, get a glass of wine and a good cigar and relax.

It all boils down to preferences.

Go to www.secure.stay123.com

You have many choices of hotels that all provide parking free for the time that you are gone. Most also have free shuttles to the pier on the morning of departure.

We have done this many times and have never had a problem.

Good luck and happy cruising!:a040:

Ft Lauderdale cruise

George, we found that it was alot cheaper to stay at the Laquinta, with free parking and free cruise shuttle than it was to pay parking at the cruise port.
