Central Vacuum System

Has anyone recently put in a central vac system in their home?

Who did you use?

Were you happy with decision?

What brand did you purchase?

Thank you for your help. Trying to decide if I can add this to my wants and desires list.

I have had central vacuum in my homes since 1986 and would not buiuld a house without it.

I made it clear that no central vacuum was a deal breaker and that wasin 2006 when the Developer was telling you to take it or leave it.

To answer your question there is an large electrical place on Rolling Acres Road opposite the school. there are two large buildings one is their plumbing company and the other Electrical. I sorry I cannot recall the name of the company. But i believe they sell and install central vacuum

Thanks so much. I guess I'll just have to wait until I come down in Sept. to check places out.

I've had the central vac system in my house here for 8 years and it is so easy on my back just rolling a hose around. I also like the fact that I don't smell anything from the vacuum itself. I also read that there are vac systems that have the hose come out of the wall, so there is no vacuum storage necessary!

Yup, I'm sold too. Just will have to find the right company to do the job.

Vacuflo - Premier Central Vacuum

I used Premier Central Vacuum Premier Central Vacuums, Inc. | Vacuflo Central Vacuum Systems in The Villages, Ocala, and Central Florida 352-307-6581

The brand is Vacuflo. Unlike the old types where you carry the hose from room to room, this has a 50-foot hose that you pull out of the wall outlet and when you're done it gets sucked back up into the attic space. It is wonderful. Highly recommended.

YES!! That is exactly the kind that I would like. Thanks for input.

You forgot to mention that the noisy motor and dirty collection bag are usually located in the garage. Cuts out all that annoying noise and dust regular vacuums make.

True --huge advantage! The dirt collects in a canister that you just detach and empty into a trash bag. There's a full vacuum cleaner with lots of attachments for the garage installed there too.

Try the dog-brush attachment!!!

batman911 mentioned the lack of noise -- I always hated noisy vacuum cleaners and so did my dogs. After a few days of using the central vacuum I noticed that my lab was following me around instead of hiding, so I decided to try the pet-brush attachment. He loves it! Now when I vacuum he waits patiently for his turn.

After checking and being disappointed during the "proposal" stage with the "bigger guys", we also selected Premier Central Vacuums. Larry and his wife were most helpful during our initial contact and we are very satisfied after our short period (2 months). Coming from a home with a central vac. hose system that had to be moved around, we love the retractable hose. It also came with a smaller hose for use in the garage. Very satisfied.

Currently use IQ Air and taking with us when we move down the end of the month. Found out about it on the show, "Extreme Makeover Home Edison ". It's connected to the furnace and it is great. Just go on IQAir.com.
