Wall Street "banking" on a Romney win.

I'm not the guy to go to for analysis of the financial markets, but I thought this article was interesting anyway.

Thanks, RichieLion. Not sure with all the problems we have had with Wall Street that I would want their best buddy as POTUS.

it is no different than any other subject...the only reported issues are negative and of some political or other advantage and usually (like all other issues) represent only a very small percent of the total.

The market has served millions of us investors over the years very well, however the only aspect reported on and high lighted, again are specific or most current negative events and presented as the general ongoing condition.

"Wall street" as a political notion is in the same category as "global warming".....nothing but politics.....

and hardly any reason or excuse to vote or not for any candidate.

Hopefully the housing market will react similarly, or maybe it has.

Obviously, a self-serving wish on your part! :a040:

the housing market is a different beast. There is a lot of lost equity/value that has to come back before many home owners can afford to sell/buy (move to TV!!).

It also requires more consistency in the mortgage lending in this country.

These will take quite some time to "evolve".......and also will require confidence in those running the country which there is not today (or for the past 3 years).

Along with the above unemployment or employment.....needs to be very different from what it is today.

And for those who see my often repeated question.....when do we hear about the major issues facing this country....above has just three of the top ones. Please take note of the complete absence of these topics in the campaigns and most definitely the Obama main stream media trumpeters.
