MoveOn.org casting a commercial: "non-union actors only"

Under the heading of "You can't make this stuff up", we have the following.

The left wing organization that is often linked with union causes in it's mission of the spread of left wing socialist radicalism, is casting a "public service" ad in which it specifically requires all aspiring respondents to be non-union actors.

And, once again, the left displays its steadfast dedication to upholding a set of principles as long as those principles don’t impact the pocketbook of the left. Bravo!

Except that they did not write this ad and are trying to get it corrected.

"Saturday.

Update: Nick Berning, MoveOn.org’s communications director, wrote in an email to TheBlaze Saturday night:

'MoveOn’s policy is to use union talent, and that has not changed. This lsting was a mistake by a production company and the listings are being corrected.'" from the Blaze linked article http://www.theblaze.com/stories/move...-union-actors/

Taltarzac, despite Berning's comments the information you linked said the ad hadn't changed and was still saying "Nonunion."

The link in the story took you to the casting call page but has since been deleted. I saw the ad with my own eyes.

The story provides a screen capture of the original ad.

To think that this was a mistake is beyond funny.

It's so so funny to me to see you guys even stooping to this knee jerk defense of the odious MoveOn.org.

Hypocrite leftist organizations and gullible dreamers for followers. What a picture.

Maybe, maybe not. Mitt Romney's campaign has made a lot of embarassing mistakes due to someone not checking for misspellings and the like. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt before jumping to conclusions.

You can read the ad yourself in the provided link.

No jumping needed.

The liberal MoveOn.org are hypocrites plain and simple.

You or others can still send them money if you wish.

The Move-On communications Director said it was the fault of the publisher of NYCastings.com. I give people the benefit of the doubt with mistakes like this.

It is amazing to me how some groups are always right and always have some sort of answer and explanation which we seem to be required to accept !!

They can ridicule and demean, but NEVER question them !

Have no idea what you are talking about. These Republican news sources certainly questioned Move On. They received an answer that this was NYCasting's mistake.

Maybe, one of the actors on this commerical will clear this up if and when they tell us if they are union or non-union.

If you look at NYCasting's Background section some of the "jobs" are for volunteers. There is no pay for the actors/actresses involved.

Where is any evidence of your explanation (excuse) of this alleged "mistake" by NY Casting?

If all you have is a MoveOn.org explanation, I know that is crap but I'd like to read it myself. Where's the link?

Very unlike you to not provide a link.

:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: Its just absolutely amazing regarding the liberal left's viewpoint. Scientist need to seriously consider studying it. Perhaps its like that facial blindness issue that 60 Minutes televised yesterday. Hmmmmmmmm
