Obama proposes race-based school discipline

From your link BK...

"“What this means is that whites and Asians will get suspended for things that blacks don’t get suspended for,” because school officials will try to level punishments despite groups’ different infraction rates, predicted Hans Bader, a counsel at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Bader is a former official in the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights, and has sued and represented school districts and colleges in civil-rights cases."

A continuation of the class and race warfare promulgated by this administration. Why people, even those who support him, can tolerate the continued dialogues that support these kind of things is beyon me. And you do not fall into line, you are a racist !!! This was predicted by the way in 2008. People get sick of the reference to his background, which is murky and shadowy, these are practices of the profession of community organizer but being done at the highest level.

absolutely incredible but not surprising.

His background before POTUS has a litany of racism, specifically white VS black.

That he would continue to promote racist based premises attests to the facts that first of all he is protecting the black voting block and secondly he is consistently racist in his core beliefs.

It also demonstrates he is not capable of rising to the level of commitment to protect all peoples as a POTUS should be doing.

Here is the Executive Order -- White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans | The White House. Divide and conquer, Bucco.

That is and has been his game. The only thing that has slowed him a bit and it did not very much was the election of 2010

This seems to be something good for the US.

You really cannot just ignore all the history of the US in which blacks were discriminated against in many ways and before that held as slaves.

This could actually give hope to many people who are struggling in the poorer sections of our urban areas.

He is also undoing everything that Ab Lincoln and the civil war did so why. Every one has the same opportunity as every one else. We are rapidly backing up and they call that progress. You really think that is a good thing (NO)

Is there a time limit that you might have in mind ? I agree with many of the steps taken to benefit and to try to level the playing field. However, seems to me after a few generations, perhaps we might consider again leveling the playing field !

I also would welcome and embrace programs that allow for getting a boost to make your own life better and we have them...un attended for the most part but we do have them !

PS...Sorry if this is considered not politically correct, but in my life I have spent much time as a coordinator for various groups that help african americans and hispanic groups....we dont have many unless you are either of those two...but my experience was, and this is over 25 years, not a positive one. We helped a lot, but the message being delivered in those groups is not one of having a helping hand extended....it is just a hand extended for the most part. That is not nice to say, but it is true, and in Pennsylvania had two troubled teens who lived nearby and had great difficulty finding programs similar to assist them and had the same experience with a son of a coworker. May sound jaded but I am talking REAL world and not the politically correct languagge

it's unfortunate that he cannot improve educational opportunities for all - especially in rural areas - where ALL races of children live:

This is true that the Obama Administration should be trying to improve education in all areas.

I still remember that at the U of MN Law School in 1986 when I entered the Class of 1989 there were maybe 2 blacks in a Class of around 260 people. That was about the same number of blacks in subsequent Classes for that extremely liberal law school. The only outright Muslim in the US Congress--Keith Ellison-- was one of those few African-Americans at the U of MN Law School while I was there as a Law Student (Classes 1989 through 1991). He was in the Class of 1990. I did not know him personally. Tim Pawlenty was U of MN Class of 1986. http://www.law.umn.edu/news/tim-pawl...5-24-2011.html

This is not about leveling the playing field because the Civil Rights Act 1965 did that as well as the plethora of Affirmtive Action Programs that still exist today already accomplished that goal. This is all about retribution with the support of Obama. Holder, members of the Black Cacus, various Liberal Groups around the country and well meaning liberals who just are naive enough or perhaps have so called "white guilt" to buy into this line of ( I don't swear) so I'll say bupkus:spoken:

That's not what this Executive Order seems to be about-- it seems aimed at giving young African-Americans more opportunities to advance rather than just the NCAA, gangs, their family (which is often just the mother as statistically it seems two parent African American families are not as common as with caucasian and Asian families), the church, etc.

This does not look like Affirmative Action. One of the African-Americans at the U of MN in the Class of 1990 was actually a white guy who lied on his law school application to the U of MN. Not much happened to him that I remember. It was kind of a subject of some laughter except for from the other African-American students.

Tal: six of one half dozen of....its favoritism. Tell me the difference between this and neoptism, which by the way I dispise? These government schemes to produce some imaginary fairness is plain nonsens and ends up doing more harm than good. "disparate impact" has not been proven, its a government invention so that government can control what when who and why.

I am growing weary of Obama's et al tactics and i am growing weary of his lies misinformation, etc.

We need a leader who will focus on the needs of "we the people" and not his chosen few. His actions are clearly racist and I am serious when I say he wants to punish the "man". However he keeps forgetting that since he became president he is "the man"
