is it impossible to get into Obama's website (barrackobama.com) without sharing your email and zip code ?

I wanted to see where he stood on some issues since he does not talk about anything but Romney, and honestly was going to visit, but WHY must I share this information in order to get into this website.

This is an honest question and if missed the way in, let me know !!!

It asks for your email but if you hit "Get the Facts" or "Get the Latest"
It takes you to the web site.

Whats the difference they track you any way

i think it is so that activity can be measured around the country - especially in swing states; and so that any comments left by the visitors can be summarized by area of the country in order to measure the degree of how vocal folks might be. it is info that can supplement polls that are being taken and indicate where some should be taken

summarizing by zip code also enables the obama organization to draft specific e-mails back to those who visited/posted rather than send out just the generic campaign messages.

request for contributions.

I joined Obama's website to gain their point of view but the hyperbole, lies, disinformation wa too much for these virgin eyes.
