New roof - what are my options?
In a previous thread I asked about making my roof white with paint or a sealant, but apparently the State does not allow the use of these on shingles.
So if, when my roof needs replacing, I have it done with lighter shingles, who should I use and what would I expect to pay for 2,000 sq.ft.? Alternatively, is a metal roof a viable option? Thank you |

I have seen some guidance on approved roofing in the deed restrictions for the house. Check the district website if you don't have a copy of them.

New roof
I just want to warn you about using Bone Dry Roofing advertised in the POA paper. We had all kinds of problems with them and now have a leak, 2 weeks since he "finished".

at least one home with metal roof
As you are about to cross Lake Sumter on Morse going north, look to your right and you will see a private home with a metal roof

Metal roof
If you install anything different than your existing roof type, check with the ARC. There have been stories of having to re-do new roofs because of no prior approval.
