The Village Movers - Need clarification
Hi
I keep hearing great things about the Village Movers. But every time I search for them the info I come up with is for the villages moving service. I'm thinking these are not the same folks. Anybody got a phone and website for the village movers? We're getting our ducks in a row for closing Oct 1 and will need them to move the big stuff. Thanks for the assist in advance. |
It's "The Village Mover"
Outstanding company. Their # is 352-751-2750. Ask for Mike. |

watch out for one scam the boss trys to pull almost all the time we have used his service twice, scam is say $70.00 a hr. thats for 2 men, he sends {3} they don't say anything till all items in house , when the boss gives you the bill say for 4hrs. it should be $280.00 and they put $400.00 instead and tell you that's for {2} men, not three, you tell him no,you were told $70.00 a hrs. not how many people, he will call the boss and you still tell him no, he will give you a bs story o the young man needed work or some other bs, do not pay he does this to everyone, just tell him no, he told you how much a hr. to move you, and write down the time started and finished.

Thanks for the heads up. Still want to check in on a couple of other movers as well and get estimates. |
Great Experience!
We used the Village Movers to move our items from our storage locker at Extra Space Storage to our new home. The two young men that were sent were fast, efficient and actually alot better than the one's who moved us from our former home into our locker. I highly recommend them. Just make sure everything is spelled out from square one; number of men, $ rate per hour for each, etc... You shouldn't have a problem.

I contacted The Village Mover (Mike Collop (352) 751-2750) and asked for help unloading a 16 foot PODS. He quoted me a very reasonable price and we set up an appointment for the day after the PODS delivery. They called me about an hour before they said that they would and asked if I minded them coming a little early. Two young gentlemen named Mike and Don showed up. They were polite, pleasant and efficient. The PODS was empty in about 3 hours and everything was placed and set up where we asked. Easy, peasy. I am a very satisfied customer.

I've just been bailed out by Mike and his company, The Village Mover, after our original mover - Village Moving Service, or Move Pros (another name they go by) just screwed us big time.
The original mover called today to say they couldn't move us on our scheduled date of Dec 18th, which we had reserved a couple of weeks ago. As a matter of fact they claimed they were booked all month and we could just go swing in the wind. We had nothing but trouble with Village Moving Services/Move Pros when we moved here from the Sanford area in August, but I was going to give them one more chance as they were supposed to buy back some boxes and moving pads they charged us for during the first move so I went with them in order to get my $500 back from the initial move. After the latest disappointment I wouldn't let Village Moving Services/Move Pro touch anything of mine and will be filing a complaint with the Florida Dept of Agriculture who is supposed to regulate moving companies. |

Better yet - file a complaint at the Sherriff's office on Route 466 at the department called: SENIORS AGAINST CRIME. The folks that volunteer there are x-law enforcement and they get right after the company/owners. They are a wonderful asset to Village residents.
