Mixed Drink Recipe Thread

Not wanting to hijack another thread I decided to start a new one.

Please post your favorite home brew mixed drink. Does not need to be alcoholic.
==================
In a nice tall glass pour in about a 1/4" to 1/2" of Absolut vodka. Add 1 or 2 ice cubes. Fill the rest of the glass with ice cold Mountain Dew. You may have to experiment with the amount of Absolut as you do not want it to taste like alcohol. 1/2" works great in a 32 once glass / mug. When done right it is a very nice drink.

For those watching there sugar try diet Mountain Dew.

Warnings.
1. Stand up very slowly and make sure you have your balance as this can get to you.
2. NO driving. Not a car, not a golf cart, not even a golf ball.

Now if I could only find a Slurpee machine this would really be a killer drink for a local block party.

Canadian Club and gingerale in a tall glass. Very refreshing.

I'm not much of a beer drinker, but when I was in Montreal a few weeks ago I had a drink the restaurant called a "black cove shandy." Some type of beer -- don't know which kind -- plus ginger ale served in a tall glass. Very refreshing. I wish I knew the type of beer plus how much beer and ginger ale was in the glass. I looked on Google, but couldn't find anything.

I saw a twitter entry on Google that said it was made of "Blond beer, rum and ginger ale".

Berliner Weisse

People from the Syracuse area may have tried a Berliner Weisse - an almost bitter light german beer poured into a brandy glass with raspberry syrup. Had it at Danzer's during my Syracuse U days (the drinking age was 18!)

I buy Bucket of Margarita. Just add tequila and freeze. Anytime I want a margarita I just scoop some out with an ice cream scooper and plop it in a glass!

I also had it at a Ratskellar in Chapel Hill, N.C., during my Duke days. Yummy.

Quirky, thank you for posting that. The name of the restaurant was The 3 Brasseurs.

I accidentally discovered this drink last week. I bought lemonade from Winn Dixie to mix with cheap vodka and a generous splash of diet cranberry juice, and when I got home I found I had purchased lemonade with mango. I'm not much of a mango fan, but made one in a tall glass with ice. Much to my surprise it seems to be an excellent hot weather cocktail.

As a fellow new Charlotte homeowner, I felt compelled to try your Monkey Fizz. I'm into my second one and I am indeed starting to fizzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! That's a keeper.

Guana Grabber

Found this one 30 years ago on a bareboat sailing trip. Anchored in Great Guana Harbour Abaco Bahamas, rowed ashore to the Guana Harbor Club on hot October afternoon...rowed back to the boat later that evening (took a couple of trys to locate the right sailboat, sigh)

Glenda has the original recipe

Ingredients:
1. Pineapple Juice - 3 oz.
2. Light Rum - 1 oz.
3. Dark Rum - 1 oz.
4. Coconut Flavor Rum - 1 oz.
5. Grapefruit Juice - 1 oz.
6. Grenadine - Splash

Serve over cracked ice in a red solo cup, good to go! Do not drive, do not cross Go, do not collect $200...just sit back and let the rum work her magic.
