Cruising from Europe to USA

If you get on a cruise ship in Europe to come to USA - are you allowed to carry on any wine?

Policies differ so it depends what cruise line. I think Holland America is more lenient.

Celebrity allows you 2 bottles of wine for consumption in your room. Does not mater if you are in the states or Europe, 5 day or 15 day cruise

It depends on what cruiseline you are on. As another poster stated, Celebrity allows 2 bottles of wine per cabin to be brought on board when you initially embark (not on board from ports of call).

Check with your cruiseline BEFORE you go out and buy the wine.

You will not be allowed to bring hard liquor on board any ship. They are all wise to the college trick of putting vodka in water bottles or Scotch in Listerine bottles.

Holland America allows unlimited wine, however it must be consumed in your stateroom. If you take it to dinner, there is a $18 corkage fee. They allow you to bring wine when you embark, and also from ports that you visit.

There is a limit on the quantity you can bring through US Customs without paying additional taxes.
