Evans Prairie--can nature noise be heard inside house?

Last weekend I reserved a homesite along Evans Prairie in Gilchrist. The night sounds are beautiful as I stood on the vacant land, but I would want quiet inside the house at night with the windows and door shut to be able to sleep. For those of you who live near a preserve or wetlands in the Villages, if you live in a block and stucco home, is it quiet inside the house at night?

No problem with the noises from nature - except for the snarling of the bears, hissing of snakes, howling of coyotes, and "Hey, Sweetie"'s from the cougars.

We back up to the eagle preserve in Liberty Park. We have a frame house. With the doors and windows closed we sometimes can hear an undertone of frogs croaking at night, and once in a while we can hear coyotes yapping.

We can hear the train too (oops...can we say train now?). But we like the sound of the train.

It's amazing how you get used to sounds. When we first moved into Buttonwood it sounded like the trains in Wildwood were running thru our back yard. NOW I can hardly hear them and rather enjoy them.

Love your humor buggyone.

But to be serious, our homes are pretty sound tight. Especially the block and stucco.

What makes you think that the frame homes are not tight?

I hear nothing at night. Occassionally a little thunder. But I guess you probably don't heast thunder in your block and strucco homes.

All TV homes quiet inside--very comforting news

I'm really delighted to learn that I could choose any style of home and still enjoy peace at night. Since I've not yet had my design meeting I am very grateful for the input from both frame and block owners. Having perspectives from owners of each construction type presents a lot of possibilities for me. I'm very grateful for the input.

whatever sound is outside you will get used to it in a short amount of time;)

I can give you an example of the wildlife noises....last night the frogs were having a huge party......but inside with the doors shut and of course being summer, the windows are shut.....it was very quiet....I thought about that just before I fell asleep......
