Accident in front of Laurel Manor Rec center
 

Orange cones are out. People say a golf cart hit a light pole and a tree about 1 o'clock in front of Laurel manor.:shrug: ( The tree does have a lean now) Said driver was taken to the hospital.
I'm off to a benefit dance so no more TOTV today. Besides that's all I heard and saw.:shrug:

Oh I'm here. Just came from Laurel and it is the strangest path to hit the tree and light pole. Wonder if it was health related or hitting the gas instead of the break. Take a ride over if you have time.

Due to reaction of reading the Sun, I glanced through it today! :thumbup:
I didn't see any report on this accident. I figure with over 1083 views, someone would of said something unless you're all SHY like me!!! :D

NOPE. There wasn't any mention of that accident. The police blotter was posted today and some 36 year old who lives in The Villages was arrested because of lewd behavior. $5000 bond. Gave his name, Jamie something.

There was all the stuff from areas around with the misdeeds noted from Lady Lake, Oxford, Summerhill, Leesburg, Fruitland Park and Wildwood, etc.

So I am guessing that they didn't call the police about this accident.

Do you think The Sun deliberately didn't report it?

I think The Daily Sun does a pretty good job reporting car and golf cart accidents and even pictures them sometimes. If you call the Sun News desk they will tell you if it was on the police blotter.

Let us know what they said.

That probably explains all these one man fender benders with the golf carts not making the paper. Police aren't called. People inside Laurel said they did take away the guy in the ambulance. Hope he is all right.

Hey I've been reading this board from 2007 and I'm pretty dumb but I'm not dumb enough to start anything against the Sun. I think your answer explains it all. Besides they keep putting my handsome face and body pictures in the paper. Yes, I'm kidding on the handsome part.:D

If it was on private property, or a parking lot...probably wouldn't make the paper. Just a thought! I really don't think The Sun delibertly leaves items out...I've seen plenty of accidents reported!!
