Has I was putting on my walking shoes today and hooded jacket.
Getting ready to take my little Bishon Clloe for her walk. the chill is already
setting in here in Illinois.
My weather bug is set to your zip code. It said 77 degrees.
Then came The Villages commercial on the tv.
My high temp is your low
I have at least 5 years until I can make the move.
( unless I can move my job )
Count your blessings. My bones already feel the pain.:cold::cold::cold:

50 degrees in Lexington this morning, high will be 72,it feels wonderful.I give all the Villagers credit who live in TV June,July, and August. The heat and humidity were brutal from the people i spoke to this summer. They said it was the hottest summer they can ever remember,do they have short memories or was it really that hot?

Jimweber, I am from Schaumburg. This was the hottest summer in the Chicago area in over 20 yrs. But I know the snow and cold will be here too soon :( Looking forward to returning to TV next month -- wish it was permanent.

Really? It was hot here in TV this summer? I remember four or five days where I thought, "Oh,,, this is the heat they were talking about." But for the most part, I found it not to be worse than CT which gets quite hot and sticky and doesn't get the nice summer rains. So all in all, I am thinking it is better here than "up north".

Actually, it was cooler this summer here in TV than it was in Utah. Honeyboy said it was 109 & smokey in Salt Lake City in August when it was 95 & clear here. We didn't have all the smoke from the western wildfires, and we have pools everywhere you look. We had a few very hot weeks in TV this summer, but I don't think it was the hottest ever. Plenty of places in the rest of the country were hotter than we were.

We have had nearly 1500 firefighters in town on and off all summer fighting fires all over the area. Recently a 727 airliner converted to a water bomber has been making runs low over the lake and to the Northwest Scotts Valley fire - really strange seeing a Jet airliner flying around at 5,000 to 8,000 ft or so ( Mts around here get up to nearly 5,000 Ft., the lake is at 1,400 ft).

We've also had lows in the 30's and 40's overnight the past two nights; yesterday morning our oil furnace decided to act up but the technician traced it to a transfomer that blew.......it was nice to get the heat back up.....even though once the sun came up, our temps were in the high 60's.....with abundant sunshine.
Totally autumn weather. NO HUMIDITY.

HOWEVER, this past summer, we couldn't escape the daily humidity which is what people up north really do not care for. We also had many many days of temps in the high 90's which were no different than Lady Lake Florida's temps. We also had a lot of rain, as did Florida......both states had high humidity non stop. I'm still trying to compare apples vs. oranges..........however, we now have the "break" in the heat and humidity and autumn is gorgeous up here........then the snow flies.
That's when everyone thinks Florida.

Weather is weather and it comes and goes.

What I'm looking forward to are the ONE LEVEL HOMES......with no steps, which makes carrying laundry up and down much easier. Florida homes need a lot less maintenance than northern homes.......but the weather is very unpredictable up here the past several years.

Everyone enjoys a crisp sunny high barometer day.
Those of us with arthritis , who also happen to be weather sensitive to falling barometer and humidity, can't win.......as the entire northeast was HUMID all summer long.

In the "olden days" old time Vermonters would say they could predict a storm front coming in by how their old bones felt.......nothing ever changes.
However, that said, Florida has the same storm fronts that the north does........but more sunshine and a much nicer winter climate.

Just love those cool autumn days - the leaves are changing and the dew is on the pumpkins. Love the four seasons Thank you
