Coming down in Oct for Design meeting. Hope to have some time to look at furniture. Any suggestions as to some stores to look at?

Family Furniture in Leesburg US441 out toward the airport. We bought a lot of furniture there and they were very professional and accommodating. Also, Southern Lifestyles at Lake Sumter Landing had some pieces that we bought and we were pleased with their service too.

Southern Lifestyles, Showcase Direct, and Kent Furniture are all reasonably priced with great service. The first two are in The Villages and are very familiar with all house models. They can give excellent suggestions. Welcome and have fun shopping!!!

A lot of people have purchase from Kent Furniture (north on US 301) and we have purchased from Babette's furniture in Leesburg. We also purchased a bedroom set from Macys (purchased online).

Ditto to Southern Lifestyles and Babettes.

We bought a Leather reclining sofa and two matching reclining chairs at Kane's Furniture in Ocala. They were made of heavy leather with baseball stitch seams. They have stores all over Florida, similar to Value City in the north. Ocala store is located at 2526 SW College Rd., just past Paddock Mall if you're coming off I-75. Here's a link to their site: Kanes Furniture If money is no object, then go to 'Southern Lifestyles' at LSL, we bought bar stools and a matching dinette and guest bedroom set there.

You'll see a 'search' button at the top of this page, check it out since someone asks this same question every month, actually for just about anything you can think of. That's how we found our painter, handyman and landscaper. Just search this site and read the reviews and comments.

Furnish a house use Barbetts in Leesburg
 

Barbett's in Leesburg no doubt about it.

Several years ago we furnished the whole house (Amarillo). Bought it in February, passed papers in March, delivered it in June (our request), no charge for storage while waiting. Ask for Cathy (she is the older Cathy) has great tastes and guided us all the way and stayed inside our budget. There are 2 Cathys. When we set up delivery we called them and scheduled for Saturday. Cathy said don't rent a hotel room Friday night, They will deliver the Dinning room and Bedroom Friday and the rest Saturday. Nothing in the house at that time, we mailed Cathy a key and they did everything they said and more. Great delivery people, could not do enough for us. If you purchase enough furniture ask for 10% off their final price (Village discount just like Southern Lifestyles you might get it, we did) I have bought several other things as time has gone by and ususlly deal with them. There prices are competitive and less than many other stores. Quality good, good selection.

We went to Showcase Direct and in 2 hours picked out an entire 2 bedroom cottage worth of furniture. Nathan was our sales rep and he was FANTASTIC. Good quality stuff and a very good price.

southern lifestyles or showcase worked for me

We purchased 2 side tables and a sofa table January 2012, it is now September and as of now they have not corrected the damaged lower shelf. We came down every other month and after someone coming out to look at the shelf, next time a new shelf was ordered but was shipped, this time the shelf was brought to the house but the wrong shelf was delivered! In July we went to Direct showcase to pay and were ignored by the cashier. The called us to remind us we have an outstanding bill. Hubby agreed and relayed the above story. He told that person when we have the promised shelf we will pay. The person we have spoken with gave us a choice-- we can bring the sofa table back n they will order a new one but it will take as long as the shelf to come into the warehouse. The brand is Flexsteel. Thanks for allowing me to rant
